  • Not included
  • An Entra account alone is not enough for Copilot Chat; the user must also have an eligible Microsoft 365 subscription. Microsoft 365 Apps for business and Apps for enterprise are not on the eligibility list.
  • Copilot Business can only be added on top of Business Basic, Business Standard or Business Premium, up to 300 licenses per tenant. It can also be added to Business plans without Teams. Copilot is included in the 'Business Standard with Copilot' and 'Business Premium with Copilot' bundles.
  • Microsoft's Copilot Business FAQ page (25.08.2026) states that the Copilot Business add-on offers the same capabilities as Microsoft 365 Copilot. The values in the Copilot Business column are based on this statement.
  • Copilot Business is sold with an annual commitment only. Organizations using Copilot Business with Business Standard or Premium cannot move to an Enterprise plan before the commitment term ends.
  • Copilot Studio is licensed separately: the tenant purchases Copilot Credits, and agent makers receive a free user license.
  • Microsoft has renamed Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat to Microsoft Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot to Microsoft Copilot. The guide keeps the license name Microsoft 365 Copilot for now; coverage has not changed.
